EagleEye Camera Systems is considered a market leader in the deployment of camera systems for large outdoor sites.  EagleEye’s unique integration of multi-radio meshing data radio systems has enabled them to install state-of-the-art digital camera systems in areas where this was simply not practical to do until this innovation was made.  The industry has never seen such a level of versatility and expandability as it now does through the use of this newly integrated technology.

In addition to the camera technology improvements, this mesh network technology can enable field technicians, engineers, administrative and executive personnel to utilize portable computing equipment wirelessly in the field through the utilization of existing wireless mesh channels already built in to the system.  In other words, clients are now able to send personnel into the field to use WiFi enabled laptops, PDA’s, tablet PC’s and other such devices to conduct their daily work as though they were in their office, or to enable field security personnel an up to date view of the entire site frm their vehicles or tablet computers while roaming the site.  This would be a valuable safety asset, especially at night, to be able to locate, investigate and report movement on site when the work crews have gone home for the night.

One such example of this new technology is the Plenary Health / North Bay Regional Health Centre site in North Bay, Ontario.

Plenary health is building a hospital project which, when completed in 2010, will cover more than 725,000 square feet of floor space within the structure, and will serve over 57,000 patients per year.  This is no small project!

Plenary Health specified in their RFP that they would like to install six cameras on this very large building site, which had very limited infrastructure to supply power or data connectivity to any of the camera sites.  EagleEye Camera Systems was invited by the general contractor to engineer a camera system which would be able to supply live video feeds of each section of the structure, as well as store images taken at regular intervals to stream to the project’s web portal, thereby helping to promote the project and the overall capabilities of Plenary Health.

EagleEye Camera Systems placed four of their 211M camera systems on grid (A/C) power at poles 1 through 4.  We then added two solar powered 211M systems at poles 5 and 6.  The integrated meshing systems required no wiring at all to get the images back to the internet gateway in their administrative offices on site, and secure wireless data connectivity is available anywhere on the entire construction site for use by on-site personnel.  Several months after the cameras were placed at these locations, it was decided that camera 3 should be moved to provide a different location to gain a better site perspective.  Thanks to the versatile design of the EagleEye system, this was accomplished in a matter of a few hours by a single technician.
